Muuga is a village located in Viimsi Parish, Harju County, roughly 12 km northeast of the centre of Tallinn, just north of Maardu town’s district of Muuga aedlinn (English: Muuga garden city), on the coast of Muuga Bay. About 50% of the village is an industrial estate serving the Port of Muuga (which also has facilities that cover land belonging to Uusküla and Maardu). Muuga has a population of 493 as of 1 January 2011. Muuga is connected to the centre of Tallinn by a roughly 35 minute ride on a bus owned by the Tallinn Bus Company.
